I guess I kind of deserve it?

I've given myself some time to reflect on this. I have a big mouth and I set myself up for this kind of response when I was just expressing my opinion. I guess what bothers me (besides the obvious), is that I can't say that it's "possible" for a symbol (even the American flag), to be used in a way that makes it annoying. Something sacred can become distorted. But if I imply that this symbol being distorted is the American flag, I am automatically unpatriotic and inherantly a bad person.
Look, I don't like it when the flag gets burned in other countries or misused in protests against the United States. I say the pledge of allegiance and mean it and meant it even in highschool when not many other people were even paying attention. What the flag means to me and what it means to others might be different but why is it impossible to believe that a flag can be used in a way that could be offensive, if the flag is being used by an American. And I don't even think that it's being used offensively. It's the guy holding the flag that is offensive.
And since when did we become any better than France? Since when did France literally become the epicenter of anything hinting of homosexuality and improperness. I've heard the jokes and I know the story but seriously. And why would a 38 year old be so obsessed about it, after I've already apologized, to make such a harsh point of basically flaming me.
I'm too hormonal and I shouldn't be taking this as serious as I am, I think.

Funny, we have got all of these "ideas" going on and for since I can remember.

Oh, I'm sorry about the response of the guy. Politics is like a very controversial topic I guess.

Blessings. :)
