United 93

Dennis pretty much dragged me to see "United 93" tonight. I was kind of scared to see a movie that reenacted September 11 because it was such an emotional event. And from the beginning, the audience is pretty tense because we were all watching the news as it happened (even me, watching CNN en espanol in the University of Belgrano, Buenos Aires.)
I thought going into it, that it might be kind of like "The Passion of the Christ"- something that would be hard to watch but still, a good movie. And I did feel like crying by the end. But I honestly didn't think it was that good. I mean, it was very real and brought back a lot of memories and frustrations. (I was really frustrated because of the difference in perspective of myself and Dennis. I'm from the US and he's from Chile so we look at 9/11 with a different perspective.)I don't know that I would reccommend this movie, not so much because it was so emotional, but more because it's kind of what I've already seen so many times on the History channel, MSNBC, etc. And it will probably be shown on TV for free. Dennis tried to make it into a big conspiracy theory thing like he does and it was hard not to say "you know, why don't you just see the courage in the people on the plane instead of analyzing how "the man" was somehow involved in this..."

One good thing though, that did remind me of when I saw "The Passion", was that you felt like everyone in the audience was feeling the same sadness and emotion and that we were all kind of thinking the same things.

~~~In other news, I got 2 A-'s in school for the semester, I've started walking for 30 min. every other day to the point that I feel like I'm going to die because I am so out of breath! (and I hope to keep that up so I'm hoping that I'm not jinxing things by blogging about it...)
