Happiness is getting a new vacuum cleaner for 10 bucks cheaper than it was originally because you flirted with the old british salesman.
No joke, we have THREE vacuums at home. a red one and a blue one, both broken and inherited from Mom. And one from the university, that probably wasn't ours to begin with but we never said anything. It lasted 3 years, felt like an industrial-powered monster, and was super load. RIP.
Pre-fantasticnewvaccum
Post-new vaccum. The messy house in the background is a metaphor for my brain.
And fitting with tomorrow (today technically), the President "pardoned" a turkey. (actually 2). So, nevermind the pounds of turkey that we are all eating tomorrow. These two turkeys can sleep easy tomorrow night, their necks are safe.
I'm really too tired to come up with something witty and clever to respond to the idea of our President saying "you, mr.turkey, are not going to die tomorrow." It's one of those little US culture things that we do that is half bizarre/neurotic/twisted and half-endearing. But then again, so is the entire concept of having a holiday where we are thankful for the Pilgrims being fed by the Native Americans.

Hello Erin. Thanks for your comments in Brian & I's blog for my most recent post.
Hope you had a very nice Thanksgiving today.
Hey, maybe I did not explain myself well. The thing is that Brian & I wanted to start enjoying our Christmas tree since this month. I already made the correction.
Guess what? As a matter of fact, Mexicans generally leave it for 2 months. Since the beginning of December till February the 2nd, when is "Dia de la Candelaria" where people make a get together with tamales and a milky beverage called "atole". The one that got the baby Jesus hidden in the Rosca de Reyes (typical Mexican bread) cut January the 6th, bring the tamales that February the 2nd.
Okies, bye for now and have a very nice rest of the week.
Yay for you new vacum cleaner. That was a very good deal.
Hugs and take care.
Gabriela. :)
P.S. Thanks for being my blogging friend. Happy Thanksgivind day. :)
Wonder if people in Chile also cut this bread "rosca de reyes". Can you ask your husband?
Hugs,
Gabriela. :)
