This week's Friday Feast
Where on your body do you have a scar, and what caused it?
I'm lucky that I don't really have many scars. I have a scar on the inside of my left thigh right by my knee from picking up a garbage bag that had a shard of glass poking through.
What is something that has happened to you that you would consider a miracle?
I would consider meeting my husband a miracle. I almost didn't meet him and when I did, I was in love with him within less than 24 hours. Things like that don't usually happen to girls like me in real life. He swept me off my feet.
Name a television personality who really gets on your nerves.
Tyra Banks. I watch "America's Next Top Model" every season but I cannot stand her (so I can't tell you why I watch the show- for the contestants, not for her!!) She's one of those women who a)thinks she knows everything b)is trying too hard to "relate" to the average girl even though she's rich, gorgeous, and not fat and c)she's just annoying. And she's not Oprah. (I don't like Oprah either though but only because she is considered "royalty".)
What was a funny word you said as a child (such as "pasketti" for "spaghetti")?
I had all of the typical words that everyone else says wrong (e.g. pamcakes for pancakes) but the most memorable (most repeated by my dad to everyone) is me calling my kindergarten teacher "Mrs. Mierda" when her name was "Mrs. Mierra" (So I basically called her "Mrs. Poo" in spanish).
Fill in the blank: I have always thought ______ was ______.
I have always thought "a la mode" was french for "ice cream on top". ("Little Miss Sunshine" and my husband taught me otherwise this past week.)
